the various steps are as follows
Step-1.
Five day workshop
Includes:
basic
principles of resource mobilisation, main
sources of potential funding
and the techniques steps
in developing their fundraising
strategy and plan Specific
targets, activities and
timelines.
Outcomes:
Draft fundraising strategy for their organisation Draft RM plan-to diversify their resource base. Various techniques in fundraising and communication. Understand the potential that exists in their environment and gain the necessary knowledge to explore them.
Step-2, Organisational Feasibility & Mentoring
One day with each of the organisation. Plan developed will be reviewed/assessment of its feasibility Recommend on key resource mobilisation tools including:
resources needed and internal readiness various role descriptions capacity building needs & infrastructure a good case for support
Final resource mobilisation plan within 3 weeks Board approvals & implementation.
Step-3 Mentoring & Follow up
On-going mentoring-2 days per NGO/month:
recommended for continuity & sustainability. Organisations will need medium term support and hand
holding Address any challenges and difficulties Continuously available for advice and guidance.(email,
phone and personal visits as necessary
Key outputs:
Handholding to ensure continuity of momentum and
support. Addressing barriers/challenges to ensure fundraising
activities continue and demonstrate results.
Step-4, Review Workshop (2 Days)
On
completion of 6-months:
2-day review workshop will be organised Will be a sharing session Opportunity for partners to learn from experiences of each other Encourage more collaboration and cross-learning.
Individual partners will give a presentation:
on their plans, what has been achieved or not, the reasons and agree on next steps.
