19th International South Asian Fundraising Workshop ( 19th SAFRW)
23 to 26 August 08, Jaypee Palace,
Agra
"Building Relationships for Sustainability-3"
19th International South Asian Fundraising Workshop will be held at Jaypee Palace Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra , from 23 to 26 August 2008. Leaders and fundraisers from over 350 non-profit organisations from all over Asia and beyond will attend and learn how to increase support for the causes they represent. The theme "Building Relationships for Sustainability-3" is most relevant and appropriate across all the organisations.
Over the last decade, Civil Society Organisations have grown at a rapid pace to meet the needs of society. Increasing very fast too is the enormous potential of support possible. But majority of CSOs are still financially weak and lack skills and professional training in how to garner this support. Resources can be accessed through a strategy, a simple plan and trained staff. Therein lies the importance of this workshop. SAFRG believes that only systematic and quality information sharing and training for staff can bring in adequate funds, for all-round development and ultimately success of NGOs.
With an established regional reputation SAFRW, is uniquely the key forum for both training and development of local resource mobilization.
